Well the show at the magic shop was last night and it went well. We sold out again. I think we will do another one in February. We'll see though. My next gig is in May with Burlesque Noir. I'm really looking forward to it. I'll keep you posted on the date.
As for the last show, it was an ever changing process. I cut many effects, including one of my favorites, because they either dragged or just didn't have a strong routine yet. I ended up with a skeleton of a show and needed filler. Good thing I have lot's of magic books and a ukulele... and extra tricks lying around the house. I quickly filled the needed time with things I have never done. One of the tricks was a signed bill in light bulb. I think I might keep that one. I was a little nervous though during that trick and was shaking too much to get the bill out. Well i guess practice will fix that problem. Time to go to SAM's club and get a case of bulbs.
Sara did a great job too. She was on cue and ready for anything. now she's looking over my shoulder while I write this so I have to think of other great things to say about her... She's so pretty.
Until next time have a wonderful new year and remember... Practice doesn't make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect. Practice makes permanent.

Are you ready for some FOOOOTBALLLL?
Well. are you? I'm not. But I am ready for the holidays to roll around. Did someone say days off from work? What was that? Four day weekend? Ahhh. Many thanks. And of course there is the recession special ($5, ALL AGES) show that's going on Saturday. Never fear, there are seats still available. Snatch them up before someone else does.
To not make this a 100% promotion post, I pose this question: what are your plans for the holidays?

Mmm. Falafel.
Our latest promo was shot at the finest Middle Eastern restaurant in Albuquerque, Sahara Middle Eastern Eatery. Seriously, they have the best falafel, the best kafta kabob, potato salad, baklava, rice pudding, hummus... I could go on and on but that would make me SUPER hungry. I think I know what I'll be having for dinner tonight. Thanks again to Sahara.

Laughs and Lifts Comedy festival
Earlier this month, we headed up to beautiful Breckenridge , Colorado for their first annual comedy festival. What an awesome event! There were four nights of amazing comedy featuring Eddie Gossling (Comedy Central), stand-up comics Hippieman, Matt Need, Eugene Kenny and Rusty Z.
After doing some quick magic on the mountain to impress skiers, the Eugene show opened for hip-hypnotist Rusty Z. Here's more info on Rusty, taken directly form his bio : Under the alias Rusty Z, James Zingleman has been putting volunteers to sleep and bringing out their hidden talents on stages across the United States. Rusty Z's mastery of rapid hypnotic inductions and his comedic background, not to mention his groovy-hipster stage persona, make his hypnosis parties a cut above the usual stage hypnosis show.
How about some pictures from our trip!!
Best doughnut ever. If you go to Breckenridge, go to Daylight Doughnuts. They have the best fresh doughnuts and breakfast burritos. Seriously! Check out that bear claw.
Fox!!
All in all, it was a fantastic trip. Outdoor hot-tubes!! Can't wait to do it again next year.
